Michael is an award winning designer working in theater, musical theater, opera and live events. His recent works include the première of Katori Hall's The Blood Quilt at Arena Stage, the première of Ruben Santiago-Hudson's Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine at Two River Theater, the New York première of Quiara Alegria Hudes' The Happiest Song Plays Last at Second Stage, the acclaimed Signature Theater revival of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson and Roger Bean's musical The Marvelous Wonderettes.
He has collaborated with directed such as Joel Grey, Charles Randolph-Wright, Christopher Ashley, Neil Pepe, Roger Bean, Austin Pendleton among many others.
He is also a busy associate designer on Broadway where he has worked on The River starring Hugh Jackman, Peter & the Starcatcher (Tony Award), Bloody Andrew Jackson (Tony nomination) and many others.
Michael is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
